ECS Liva Q3 Plus Review

Uber-compact design ; Quiet operation ; Surprisingly strong port selection ; Smooth 4K streaming ; Capable of some multitasking in Windows ; Available with or without Windows preinstalled

Limited local storage ; No USB-C port ; Lacks the latest wireless standards

The ECS Liva Q3 Plus is a tiny, quiet, capable, and affordable mini PC that’s a great fit as a living-room media streamer or light-duty, hide-anywhere office computer.

ECS Liva Z3 Plus Review

Highly compact design ; Core i5 processor ; Wi-Fi 6 support ; Alexa-compatible internal mic array ; Affordable price tag ; Easy to work on and maintain

Ships with just 4GB of RAM ; Old-school BIOS ; Windows 10 is only OS supported, and must be installed

If you need an affordable mini PC with strong performance for everyday tasks, ECS's Liva Z3 Plus is a sensible option—providing you don't mind upgrading it with an extra stick of SO-DIMM RAM.

ECS Liva SF110-A320 Review

Compact chassis ; Stable operation ; Sturdy build quality ; Support for 2.5-inch SATA and 80mm M.2 drives (one of each) ; Supplied M.2 Wi-Fi module ; Lots of USB ports

Restricted to Ryzen, Athlon chips with maximum 35-watt TDP ; BIOS can't down-TDP existing Ryzen APUs ; Case is tricky to open ; Rear USB ports are all USB 2.0

An uncommon DIY mini-PC that supports a subset of AMD Ryzen CPUs, the ECS Liva SF110-A320 is far from perfect, but it's a reasonable budget pick for shoppers seeking the pep of Ryzen's Vega integrated graphics.

ECS Liva Q2 Mini PC

Though a marvel in miniature, the ECS Liva Q2 Mini PC is a case of a small PC being a little too small. Despite its use of an efficient mobile CPU, it needs a fan to keep its thermals in check.

Uber-compact design. 4K output over HDMI. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Full-size Ethernet jack.

Fan spins up too often, and too audibly. Could use one more USB port. Performance is only good for single-program productivity work or display duty.

Bottom Line: Though a marvel in miniature, the ECS Liva Q2 Mini PC is a case of a small PC being a little too small. Despite its use of an efficient mobile CPU, it needs a fan to keep its thermals in check.

ECS LIVA Z2V review

A minuscule marvel

Quiet operation ; Compact size

Slow internal storage ; 8GB of RAM can be limiting

This tiny PC is great to hide away as a simple PC for powering signage, but anything more taxing will start to slow it down. If you’re looking for a compact PC to display video loops or use as a thin client, the ECS LIVA Z2V will fit the bill easily....

ECS Liva Z2 Mini PC

The ECS Liva Z2 is a quiet, low-power mini desktop for niche use cases. It isn't fast enough to be a main PC for most folks, but it's an inexpensive option for digital signage, kiosks, and similar environs.

Compact, quiet fanless design. Easily upgradable memory and storage. 4K output over HDMI. USB-C connection. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

A little sluggish for serious multitasking work or typical home use. Only 32GB of flash storage included.

Bottom Line: The ECS Liva Z2 is a quiet, low-power mini desktop for niche use cases. It isn't fast enough to be a main PC for most folks, but it's an inexpensive option for digital signage, kiosks, and similar environs.
