although an upright is more difficult to arrange food, in my opinion, I have been very pleased so far with this Amana. It was a replacement for a very old wide walled chest type that actually still worked, but had started rusting/leaking underneath....

I would like the shelves a little bigger and some sort of lip on the end.The food doesn't stay on shelves if not stacked careful. Very nice outer door, very modern. It does turn on EVERY time you open the door but is very energy efficient.

We like the lower bin that slides out and the door design is great. Great features for the price.

We had an old chest freezer and we wanted to replace it with one with a smaller foot print. We also wanted to be able to organize better and that's tough with a chest freezer. This freezer is exactly what we wanted. We also wanted the manual defrost...

Runs noisy. The first freezer was replaced because of twisted shelves, that would not seat down. The shelves with this one are also a bit warped, but do seat down with the weight of food. Shouldn't be a problem.

Never have I ordered an appliance off the internet but Home Depot made it so easy to do... The Amana freezer is perfect in every way. It was a great price and purchase. The delivery was fast and the guys were great setting it up and hauling the 34 year...

Our freezer arrived in time for sockeye salmon season. We replaced our old noisy upright with this one. It is very quiet and freezes our precious cargo very quickly.
