Cobra charges $129 to update the maps!  and they are several years outdated!  The unit is slow, and does not have much flexibility for options and features.  When I spoke to Cobra, they agreed a newer model with updated maps would probably cost less. ...

BORROWED AND USED ON VACATION THIS UNIT HANDLED VERY WELL UNTIL WE GOT TO BUSY TURN OFF AREAS IN WHICH IT WAS SLOW TO ANNOUNCE THE TURN AND CAUSED US TO PASS THE EXITS. IT'S AUTO REDIRECT AFTERWARD WAS VERY SLOW.

I bought this unit for $100 refurbished. The cobra website shows it on sale for $260.

I have had a Cobra GPS unit for over a year. It has been reliable, but it takes a long time (more than 5 min.) to access the satellite, if you don't turn on the GPS where you shut it down.
