The more time goes by, the cannier Toshiba seems to get at understanding the needs of specific sections of the UK TV market. The Toshiba 46TL868 tested recently did a great job of catering for people wanting a good-sized active 3D screen on the cheap.

Very dark scenes do highlight a few backlight inconsistencies – I noticed areas of the picture appearing brighter than others ; The set can’t match its HD performance with SD material – while TV fare looks quite sharp, it’s susceptible to blocking...

Default settings were a little too bright but a bit of tinkering sorted that Picture was a little blurred on default setting but now ok after sharpening the picture Only had the set a week, so no other bad points have arrisen
