Ease of use

There may be a bug in the software that causes BBC channels to drop out when recording anything else - we see this on another unit with identical software but not Hitachi branded

Cheap, very slim, easy to use, produces a very good picture

can save programs to dvd but not easy. Front screen not easy to see on unit.

Cheap and the menus are easy to use. My wife, who couldn't stand our old Sky box, loves it

There are occassions where it gets "stuck" and the only way out is to pull out the power lead

makes recording tv progs so easy live tv pausing another great feature

Picture quality is nothing special menus while clear, are a bit "basic" looking

Sometimes looses the Channel Guide temporarily. Could be a signal issue??

Can't pause TV whilst recording; doesn't automatically keep 30 minutes of the chanel you're watching (so no "realtime" rewind. Be careful when watching paused TV - hit the stop button and its all gone!

Easy to install and the one touch recording is tip top

The programme guide sometimes fails to display all the channel programmes
