Tak: The Great Juju Challenge

It's standard in many reviews of licensed games to talk about the state of the industry and how bad licensed games typically are. I'll save you those precious minutes of your life because you've heard it all before. Tak and the Great Juju Challenge is...

Tak and the Great Juju Challenge didn't leave a big impression on me, for better or for worse. It's a good enough games for fans of the Tak series to try out. But the DS library is strong and diverse. There are other platforming games out there and...

TAK: The Great Juju Challenge

In all honesty, when I was sent my stack of games to review, this one had (after I had ciphered through) suspiciously shuffled its way down near the bottom.

So very original ; Genuinely funny ; Great for all the family ; The voice of Kronk returns

Dodgy camera ; Slightly, very slightly repetitive ; Loading menus – fast but pretty shocking

is played by large and a vast amount of gamers, so you're sure to make a network and friends. Whatever age or gender

Tak: The Great Juju Challenge

There are some games that we receive here and just shudder at the thought of having to spend our precious time wading through the mire that is the latest licensed cash-in atrocity. However, once in a while we come across the odd game that shines...

Whilst not being the world's most inventive platform adventure on the market, the clever use of character interaction and speed challenges keeps the whole game fresh. If it was not for the rudimentary basics of the genre not being spruced up, then this...

Tak The Great Juju Challenge (GBA)

WayForward brings Tak to the GBA for his third portable adventure.

Beautiful looking graphics ; Nice tribal soundtrack ; Some clever gameplay ideas ; Any part in the game where you're chased by a giant boulder

Horribly hard at points ; Trying to reach the second checkpoint in level 3-2 ; Double tapping for controls is very awkward ; Tak is mostly useless compared to Lok

Tak: The Great Juju Challenge is difficult to grade. It looks and sounds fantastic, no question. There are some moments when the gameplay really does shine, but most of the time it's unreasonably difficult, or just dull. If you can find it for a...

Tak: The Great Juju Challenge

Younger gamers on the go get another installment of this popular series. Prepare to get your JuJu on.

Tak and Lok are likeable enough characters, and alternating character control is an interesting dynamic

Doesn't execute on the controls like its console big brother

The levels in The Great Juju Challenge are all time based; the more time you have left at the level's end, the higher score you will receive. The level timer adds some degree of complexity to the tasks, but we found that the time allotted was generous...
