Soul Calibur III

The name Soul Calibur brings up fond memories in the minds of many gamers. For most, it brings up memories of a next-generation console, with extreme potential for graphics, and virtually worthless launch titles... except one. That one launch title was...

Don't misunderstand my overall opinion of the game: Soul Calibur is still undeniably THE best fighting game as far as I'm concerned; I don't like the relative slowness of Tekken (everything just feels slowed down), Virtua Fighter is too... for lack of...

Soul Calibur III. PlayStation 2 Review

Aussie Ninja also feasts on human souls.

Playing Soul Calibur 3 is like visiting an old friend. Look, when it comes down to it, there are two fighting game series' I truly love and will still be playing several years from now. One is King of Fighters and the other is Soul Calibur. The...

Soulcalibur III

The blades, axes, staves, poleaxes and their wielding wariors re-enter the arena for Soul Calibur 3, but has enough been done to make SC3 a worth new entry.

As the voiceover on the intro of the original PS1 game told us this is a

SoulCalibur III Review for PS2

SoulCalibur III for PS2 Review - If you haven't got any friends, I wouldn't recommend you buy SCIII, but with friends this is as entertaining as ever.

Soul Calibur III

Namco has long been the master of fighting games, with their Tekken and Soul Calibur series being amongst the most popular fighting titles currently available. The Soul Calibur series has continued to evolve and advance the enjoyable gameplay that the...

Soulcalibur III

Rating Soulcalibur III is a difficult thing for more than one reason - the core mechanics of this game, the fighting engine itself, is absolutely my favorite experience in a fighting game since Killer Instinct Gold, and the game has so many good things...

Character design is, as always, great ; Complex and engaging environments ; Best core gameplay in any fighting game ; I finally got to use Kefka and Ganondorf in a real fighting game ; No better way to beat up your friends

Chronicles of the Sword sucks ; Tale of Souls feels half-finished ; Recycled sound and music ; Why can't I at least make faces in the create-a-character ; No online play

The core gameplay of Soulcalibur III is so phenomenal that there's no meaningful way that it can really be improved upon. For me, every fighting game between Soulcaliburs is just something to tide me over until the next one arrives. The fighting engine...

Soul Calibur III

Remember the Dreamcast? Of course you do. It was the little console that could, the noisy little brother that got pushed to the side when big brother Playstation 2 stepped into the picture and hogged all the glory.

Maintaining the series's strong fighting tradition with three new combatants ; Beautiful, smooth performance ; Tons of modes and items to unlock

Chronicles of the Sword is not all that entertaining ; Story mode is repetitive across all characters

It's the same old song, but what a great tune!

The new features and modes aren???t mind blowing, but they don???t take away what Soul Calibur does best: amazingly detailed fights."

Soul Calibur III on Playstation 2

Back for another round

The graphics remain pretty much unchanged from SC2, with just a bit more detail in the levels and some semi-destructible environments. Not that it’s a bad thing, since SC2 looked great. It does, however, take a hit in the sound department, sporting...
