Sly Cooper & The Thievius Raccoonus

I resisted playing this game for a long time. I am really not sure why. Perhaps it was the title - Sly Cooper and the Theivious Racoonus - or perhaps it was the lack luster cover of the game. Who knows really. All I do know is that when Cone showed up...

Creating a good platformer involves a host of variables. You have to create a likeable cast of characters, solid gameplay and an overall fun experience. To create a classic platformer, you need loveable characters, innovative gameplay and an...

Almost every second of Sly Cooper is pure enjoyment: every move, mini-game and visual clicks together like a jigsaw puzzle to create a near perfect gaming experience. Hopefully this is only the first adventure for our ring-tailed hero.

"Sly Raccoon would be a standard 3D Jump'n'Runner - collect coins, defeat enemies, solve frustrating jumping puzzles"

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

Sucker Punch delivers one of the best platformers ever made. Do NOT miss this one.

Look, I've gushed long enough. Here's the bottom line: Sly is an unequivocal blast. The framerate chokes, I wish to God it was about twice as long (I unlocked everything in just over eight hours), but everything else about the game is quite literally...

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

It's no real secret that Sony's been searching for a mascot for the PlayStation 2 for quite a while. Crash Bandicoot filled that role on the PlayStation's last incarnation, but with Crash's expansion to all of the current platforms (added to the fact...

All in all, Sly Cooper is a delightful game that should definitely be played by anyone who has enjoyed a platform game in the past fifteen years or so. The only thing that keeps Sly Cooper from being a must-buy is the play length; the game can easily...

Sucker Punch's latest caper may just be the best platformer we see this year.

Smooth gameplay, beautiful graphics, charismatic characters, cool music, sharp control

Some framerate issues, too easy, somewhat short

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Review for the PS2

Niftius Gamicus.

Awesome graphics; Fun and easy controls; Cool levels; Great production

Slowdown in later levels; Pretty short; Crappy music

For most of the game, at least. There is some slowdown and loss of resolution in later levels, though it's not that big of a deal. A bigger deal is the game's short length. Sly Cooper is beatable in less than ten hours, though it lasts a lot longer...

One of the simplest ways to have a game dubbed as "innovative" is to mix genres. Such is the case with Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus from Sony, developed by Sucker Punch. It's part action/slinker, part platforming berry-picker; a good blend...

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus review

Sly Cooper is one of the best games that I have so far played for the PS2. Sly comes from a long line of thieves. His family put together the "Thievius Raccoonus", which was a book on thievery. The book was stolen and torn into five different pieces...

In the end I was very happy with this title, due to how fun it was. I really don't enjoy playing a game 30 hours, because it gets awfully repetitive. I hate when companies prolong a games length, JUST to make it longer unnecessarily. In Sly Cooper's...

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

At this years E3, Sony gave out Sly Cooper demos that included exactly one half of the first world's stages, and from that demo we were able to realize that this game was shaping up to be very good. What could not have been known from the demo however,...

This is the kind of entertainment Sony will need to bring to the table in the future in order to secure the PS2's position as king of the console hill. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is an absolute blast to play and raises the bar for what makes...
