Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends

I just killed my 500th enemy. *yawn*

The continued fun at its core ; Learning" Japan's history ; Finally opening up that fifth weapon

Gracia and her bracelets ; Losing all your weapons when you die ; The ennui

At its value price, Xtreme Legends is a fair buy (especially if a PS2 is as current a console as you've got), even if you don't have SW2. In fact, for casual Warriors players, it may even be better to have not played the first game, as the main game...

Samurai Warriors 2 Empires review

The menu screen of Samurai Warriors 2: Empires suggests simplicity, but in truth the scope of the game is simultaneously vast and complex. The game features a repertoire of options including Empire Mode, Free Mode, and a New Officer function, with...

A surprisingly enjoyable game from the Samurai and Dynasty Warriors creators.

[Mini-Review] Aging Empires

The steady stream of Samurai Warriors games are trying our patience, but they've still got their hooks.

Why are we still playing these games? Because we have a problem, that's why, but it's fine, because so do you. Don't you? You wouldn't be reading this review if you didn't, so let's just both admit we share an addiction and cough up the cash.

Samurai Warriors 2 Empires (PS2) review

Leave brains and gaming taste at door

There are no improvements whatsoever since Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires besides a change of location. Dare we say it, this series has slightly bigger problems than everyone getting bored of China. Unless you really like square.

Samurai Warriors 2: Empires Review

KOEI's latest Empires game gets the job done, but where's the multiplayer?

Samurai Warriors 2: Empires is a solid game with slight changes to the formula introduced in Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires. The game is good enough for what it is supposed to do, but KOEI really needs to start making more dramatic changes with these...

"If you're a big fan of the 'Warriors' games and you're looking for more, then I think you should pick this one up."

Samurai Warriors 2 Empires

You probably saw this coming, but Koei has applied its strategy-centric Empires formula to its Samurai series.

It's still fun to plow through a massive enemy army; Empire mode adds some extra depth to the gameplay; fun multiplayer

If you've played one Warriors game...; only two modes to choose from; no online play

Samurai Warriors 2: Empires

This sword has nearly lost its edge entirely

Combos and specials can be addicting ; Dozens of playable characters ; The music heats up the action

Mindless hack-n-slashin' gets boring ; Strategy section lacks real depth ; You've played this before... a lot

Dominate Japan, a few thousand soldiers at a time.
