Hot Shots Tennis

For the past nine years, the Hot Shots series has given countless people who otherwise wouldn't touch a golf game the ability to enjoy them thanks to their easy-to-learn gameplay, and has also appealed to die-hard gamers by also delivering an in-depth...

Fortunately, that aspect of the game, while flawed, is deep enough to keep coming back to time and time again. If you're new to the series, or on the fence about tennis games in general, a rental is probably best. Thanks to its depth and ease of use,...

Hot Shots Golf 3

Introduction

Sony is one of the reasons why the video game industry has become as popular as it has. They have proven time and time again that they can come up with ideas that revolutionize the way we perceive and play our games. Hot Shots Golf 3 alone has given me...

Hot Shots Tennis

It's too bad Sony waited so late in the life of the PlayStation 2 to launch the new Hot Shots Tennis franchise. With the PS3 drawing so much attention these days, it's hard for a new franchise on their old platform to draw the accolades it deserves.

Coming up with an approach to gameplay that goes well beyond Pong! 2K8 ; Like any Hot Shots title, there is an insane amount of content to unlock on your way to the singles or doubles world title ; Great animation, humor and personality, without losing...

Some folks just aren’t into tennis

If any title can make you into a tennis addict, this is the one.

"Anyone who has played any of the Hot Shots Golf offerings probably has a good idea of what this game has going for it. The term ???cutesy??? comes to mind."

Hot Shots Tennis - ps2

I had high hopes for Hot Shots Tennis, especially given the legacy of their previous golf games. I still play Hot Shots Golf on my PSP, even today, and I'm anxiously awaiting the new Hot Shots Golf on PS3. Perhaps this tennis game might have fared...

Hot Shots Tennis

Though Sony's 'Hot Shots' franchise has been around for generations, it's always been about golf. Now the goofball gaming with fatheaded chortling characters, frightfully whimsical music, and indulgently accessible controls has a go at tennis.

Borrowing a bit of Nintendo methodology, Sony's Hot Shots Tennis for PlayStation2 brings the grunt 'n' whack-it racket sport to the masses with accessible controls and colorful, cartoon characters and environments.

Hot Shots Tennis

All Prince of Tennis jokes aside, Hot Shots Tennis is the first deviation I've seen from the Hot Shots Golf formula that developer Clap Hanz is usually known for. They've taken what they've learned from Hot Shots Golf and have plugged it in to a tennis...

The game is stuck with a weak AI and it feels like a rip off of other tennis game. If you really need a tennis fix then you might want to consider this game but there are other better alternatives out there.

Hot Shots Tennis Review

The Hot Shots take on tennis in this solid, yet unspectacular, PS2 sports game.

Hot Shots Tennis, as you'd expect, looks like a kid's game, sounds like a kid's game, has the depth of a kid's game, but plays a very mature and fun game of tennis. Unfortunately, it's just not challenging enough and it doesn't have enough longevity...

'Hot Shots Tennis' a smash hit

Hot Shots sports games make me feel somewhat nostalgic. With their simple set-up, cutesy graphics and over-excited characters, they remind of the old sports titles, Capcom used to make. Whether it was baseball, football, soccer or tennis, you could be...

Hot Shots Tennis

Although they kept it on the backburner for a little while, Japanese developer Clap Hanz has finally released Hot Shots Tennis, a title that they hope will bring the pick up and play elements of their golf titles to the world of tennis. While the...

It may lack the replay value needed to outdo tennis titles such as Virtua Tennis, but thanks to addictive multiplayer and easy to play gameplay coupled with a $30 price tag, gamers could certainly do much worse. While Clap Hanz could've potentially...
