Expertenbewertung von: Alex Kidman (cnet.com.au)

The Last Airbender

M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender is yet another in a long line of tepid action movie tie-ins. Unless you're fanatical to the point of obsession about the story, don't bother.

Presumably authentic to the movie

Inept combat ; Tedious and repetitive ; Awful animation and visuals ; The tagline "Discover Your Bending Powers" does not, in fact, refer to Futurama

Presumably if you loved the film and the surrounding Avatar world to the point of myopia, this might be acceptable but mundane gaming. If you don't, this is a game best avoided, as there's many other better action games on the Wii.

The Last Airbender

Aang, Zuko, fireballs and air

Disclaimer Three: I am from Wellington, where the air ought to be bendy enough for anyone.

The Last Airbender (2010)

Nintendo’s Wii has gifted developers with a console unrestrained by traditional gamepads and the opportunity to take a new approach to their art. And as M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie revolves around the flamboyant spinning of elements into magical...

Avatar: The Last Airbender

For anime fans the world over, Avatar: The Last Airbender is something of a cultural melting pot. As fans of the show likely know, it is written in America, features Japanese anime-inspired art, is drawn in Korea and has cultural influences – from the...

Decent story and great voice acting ; Fun mini-games

Repetitive gameplay ; No multiplayer ; Unresponsive motion controls ; Unpolished graphics

With source material of Avatar’s quality, I would have thought it really hard to screw up even a licensed game. However, THQ found a way. While the story and writing are decent, very reminiscent of the show and all that, the game manages to tear away...

Avatar: The Last Airbender Â- The Burning Earth

Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth follows Aang, the titular Airbender, through the events of the second season of the Avatar television show, and it's made expressly for the fans. Those of us unfamiliar with Aang and his story will have a...

Avatar: The Last Airbender

It's good for a licensed game, but there's a lot of potential that is not realized.

Faithful use of the Avatar license ; RPG-inspired experience system works well ; Potential for a better game in the future

Backtracking all over the place ; Fighting eventually becomes boring ; No multiplayer

Probably, but you'll need to storm through it. It's meatier than I expected.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Taking place sometime after the first season of the television program, Avatar: The Last Airbender (the game) puts players in the role of the young man who is considered the reincarnation of the only one who can unite the factioned elements, bring...

The graphics are fine, but won't put the system to the test. It really is just a decent game all around. Older gamers will be able to figure their way around the harder boss battles if they are so inclined while the younger ones may get frustrated and...

License treated "right ; Action RPG gameplay decision good for the franchise

No co-op play ; PSP & GBA versions not so good ; Uneven balance

Die-hard fans of the show may enjoy this, but only on a home console.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Best anime licensed game I've played this year.

If you're looking for a game that does more than you're used to, look elsewhere. Fans and gamers seeking something simple in between those big name 4th quarter titles should be content with what they're getting. Solid but nothing spectacular.
