The manual says it has to be installed behind my switch after modem. I just run it fine off my gigabit switch. Also the Main phone has to be in the basement with the modem. The fiance wasn't to confident initially but now brags about it too

I purchased this system 3+ years ago when it was $500. Back then, we received free second line, second phone number and lifetime premier service. Since 3 yrs of phone service would have cost me $1620, I believe the unit has more than paid for itself.
