"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!"

 

I have called TomTom numerous times. Their tech support is based in Mexico. They do not speak English. Most of the time, I cannot get them to understand the problem. When they do understand the problem, they have me reset the unit which only helps...

Great, when it works.

Will send you up one way streets the wrong way. It gets fixated on wrecks. It will insist on taking you off your route to take you through an accident. If you prform a soft reset of the unit, it will start working correctly again.

The box for this GPS states prominently in two places that you get "Lifetime Traffic and Maps" and that it comes with maps of US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. I was shocked when I tried to update my Europe maps to be directed to a web page that required...

Large screen. Good warnings about exceeding speed limit. Reasonably good text to speech directions. Good data on nearby gas stations, shops, etc.

Unlike what it says on the box lifetime updates does not apply to Europe. EXTRA CHARGE FOR THAT!
