What on earth was Pioneer thinking putting out this 5 year old player in 2008. I had thought Pioneer was good stuff. The fast forward thing you would never find out about until you actually used the player

It Plays DVDs and Divx. But this model has 2 serious flaws

And the flaws are this No HDMI!!! Can you believe in this day and age these idiots put out a unit with no HDMI? And the fast forward is the worst I've seen in any player ever, even on a usb flash card it will only fast forward at 2X speed. Can you...

On my old Toshiba player there was a feature that allowed you to change the way the picture fit on your tv. In that menu there was a feature called original fit that allowed the file to be displayed in it's original resolution with a black border on...

This machine is SWEET! I got it specifically for DVD and .avi playback in my living room. This machine does that and more. USB port on the front is very nice! I had a 160g Western Digital external hard drive laying around doing nothing, so I hooked it...

Seems to be little product support from Pioneer homepage. Specifically concerning the question what is the maximum resolution of .avi files that is supported by the player. I can't seem to find that answer.

Great DVD Player

 

Buy a Flash Drive, make sure it's FAT32 to watch your movies, stop wasting CDs and DVDs for DivX :-)

USB feature is great because I bought the 16GB Flash drive and now can just put the divx in there and watch instead of having to burn them onto DVD. Just watch and delete once im done.

Maybe a HDMI, but I think another version of this player, which I have at home, has HDMI, this one doesn't.

I look around at the local store where I live and couldn't find anything I like, I wanted a S-video on a DVD player and the ones I did find with it was cheaply made, really just junk. I like seeing what I am buying first but I took a chance and got...

This one floored me. I found this item in a store for fifteen dollars less than newegg. Combine that with the shipping cost, and I saved thirty bucks!

Tons of functions ; great playback. I couldn't ask for better from a sub-seventy dollar item

You have to be careful about what codecs your .avi files were ripped with. Xvid and Matroska and the like are incompatible with this player. It will only play files ripped with a genuine DivX codec. The USB port is only for playing music, it won't play...

Good player, and especially great for the price. We paid on;y $100, and we thought we would have to pay a lot more for a player that was usb compatible. This will end up saving us money in the lond run. because we don't have to buy as many dvds.

USB compatible so we can store all our movies on our computer, then just use the usb. This reduces the amount of dvds lying around, and therefore, less mess!! Also gives great picture and sound, and the remote is easy to use.

Haven't had any issues yet. On;y had it for 3 months, but we did get an extended warranty.
